In 1971 I came to Exeter University Law department from Birmingham and stayed ever since! I love Devon and its Coast and Dartmoor. I have lived in Ashburton since 1997.
I worked for many years as a solicitor in Exeter. I am now a licensed conveyancer and probate practitioner providing a personal local legal service to Ashburton, the Moor and the locality.
I am a member of and involved in St Andrew's our local church sitting on the PCC.
I was a founder of Ashburton Arts with our plans for a buzzing Arts Centre and Arts scene in the old Methodist Church.
I am also a Director of The Society of Licensed Conveyancers which represents the Licensed Conveyancer and Probate Practitioner profession. It exists to serve the interests of its members working constructively with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) as well as other stakeholders such as Government Departments, industry representative bodies, consumer organisations and the media; national, local and trade.
My wife Jane and I love walking. She sells photographs professionally under the name Dartmoorsailor Photos. We have a large family with numerous grandchildren keeping us young.
